We returned (link to the previous article) to this route in the fall to enjoy a moderate route along the Trans Canada Trail and the Coldwater Corridor, a total of 12 km.   We dropped a car off near the Coldwater River, then drove up to the trailhead in the Village of Brookmere.

The trail has a moderate grade of 1% downhill all the way to the former Brodie Station for 6.6 km.   The route then crosses the Coldwater River at Brodie (The Loops) on an old truss.   To the left (south)  is the old railbed heading up to the Coquihalla Lakes area.   To the right (north) is the railbed of the Merritt Subdivision.   There are 7 trusses on the way to Coldwater Crossing.

We chose to hike this route in the fall to avoid the ATVs and motorcycles and also to enjoy the fall colors.

We returned to our vehicle after hiking in a leisurely fashion for 3 hours.   This is a pleasant route in the spring or fall for a walk or bike.
