Buse Hill is an easy hike on the east side of Kamloops. The hike climbs a hill to a fine viewpoint on top of cliffs overlooking Barnhartvale. To get to the trailhead, follow Barnhartvale Road to the Robbins Range Road turnoff and then at the Campbell Range junction, take the left turn onto Robbins Range Road and then follow it for 5.5 km. Park on the left at a small parking area (at N50 35.976 W120 33 02.225).
Although the upper end is part of a BC Protected Area (BC Parks), the lower end is actually private property. We can hike up the double track, courtesy of the Buse Creek Ranch. Stay on the road, as noted in the posted sign. When the road forks in the forest above, either one is fine and we can hike a small loop on top by coming back on the other track.
About 1km up the double track, we leave private property and enter Parks lands near the top. Watch for the BC Parks sign. It is only 1.3 km to the top and from there we can walk along the rim to enjoy the views. To the west is the Buse Pinnacle.
