  1. Re windy Joe trail,my wife and I lived in manning from 1972 to 1983 at east gate in manning park,I worked for b.c parks, we were fortunate to become close friends with Joe and Jess Hilton during our stay,Joe exposed me to many wonderous and unique aspects of manning, small interesting wonders, plant life, animals, fishing lightning lakes in the cold of winter and many more, locations of some of his trapper cabins, the roach, three forks and pasayten valley, animal habits and conservation,he was a trapper with respect for the animals
his son in law said it best,Joe was a farmer, when it came to trapping, leaving things be when need be,it was his life style and in his his blood to trap,he was a very kind man and trapping was more of a life style than a career, I have now moved and sadly the draw of manning has left me,just like this website, the emphasis of manning now seems to be on tourism and filling the local facilities.
