Just outside of City limits in Barnhartvale is an area of trails and tracks in a relatively flat area.   Not far past Eagle Point Golf Course is a side road that goes down to Campbell Creek.    Drive down this road a short distance and park at the side of the road.   Tracks lead east and a loop route can be made using double and single tracks.      Some of the side tracks go up the hill which is more forested.   Some tracks lead north to lookouts over the river.   The area has been heavily hit by pine beetle and many trees have been pulled out of this area, but there is still a fair amount of debris everywhere.   In the summer dirt bikes and quads frequent the area 🙁 , but in the off-season it is another new area to hike, explore,  or to walk the dog.   The east side is flanked by private property, though it can be skirted on the north side.   This is not a destination hike, but it does offer another route to explore on the edge of the City.
