• On the sidebar is a section titled Rambles. These are short articles, blogs and information articles. Many focus on the flora, fauna, and features of our area.
  • There are now over 1200 articles on this site. With so much content, the Search function or the Google Maps are the best way to find information.
  • Over 4.5 million hits to this site and counting…
  • The goal is to provide only original content wherever possible. On occasion, links to maps, PDFs, brochures, etc. may also be provided for the reader as a convenience.
  • Yes, the site is Kamloopstrails, but that is just indicative of the home base for the blog. Trails, tracks, routes, and waterways extend many kilometers in each direction and afar.
  • I am sometimes asked why I don’t write a book. The answer is that there are complications – 70% of the land surrounding Kamloops is private land, grazing lease or license, forest tenure, etc., a quagmire of access. Writers are doomed to criticism if they don’t keep every trail within Parks and unleased Crown land.
  • A more recent addition to the website are links to a number of Google Maps. These are updated and expanded over time. They provide a visual orientation to locations posted on this site.
  • A number of videos are also associated with kamloopstrails on YouTube.See the link on the sidebar.
